Oops! A few things appear to be missing!

It appears that the ferrets have stashed several sections of this page. I'm sure we'll find them soon! In the meantime, check out our shop!

Housing

We highly recommend the Ferret Nation or Critter Nation cages by MidWest. These enclosures are spacious, solid, can be added on to, and best of all they are MUCH easier to clean compared to many other ferret cages! Each single unit can comfortably house two ferrets. They can be added on to upwards or sideways! We also recommend a dedicated “ferret room”, if possible. Having a specific room for them to play in, such as a small bedroom, makes ferret proofing much easier than trying to ferret proof your entire house. They can fit almost anywhere, and have a knack for mischief!

Diet

Ferrets are obligate carnivores, meaning they require an animal protein based diet & lack the ability to properly utilize carb-based foods. We very strongly recommend a balanced raw species appropriate diet (a carefully planned menu of raw/uncooked meat, bones, and organs). However, we know this diet plan may not be possible  for everyone. Selecting a dry kibble can be quite a migraine-inducing task, but we will do our best to provide you with the tools you need to make an informed decision. When fed a dry kibble, ferrets should have free access to a filled bowl of kibble 24/7 due to high metabolism.
